  Rotterdam Technical Centre

As the largest port in Europe, Rotterdam is known as the gateway to Europe. With such high volumes of throughput and dynamic presence, it only makes sense for us to have a European base at the heart of all the action. Our new, purpose built facilities are home to over 90 trained inspectors and chemists, working to ensure a fast and accurate service synonymous with the Inspectorate name.

Our inspectors help to safeguard your material, acting as ‘your eyes and ears’ 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Investment and training have allowed our inspectors to become experts within the field helping to put your mind at ease knowing your cargo are in the best possible hands.

Within our ISO 9001:2000 certified laboratory, our chemists work to high internal as well as external standards to ensure accuracy. We continuously participate in round robin exercises and work to ASTM, DIN, NEN-EN, ISO, IP and IFIA standards to ensure our results are of the highest quality. Combined with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), our results are processed as fast and efficiently as possible. This web based system gives Inspectorate customers’ unprecedented access to real-time results.

The capabilities of our Rotterdam laboratory include but are not exclusive to chromatographic analysis including ICP-OES, XRF, CHN, halogens, sulphur and more. Chromatographic analysis includes GC, GCMS, HPLC+IC. Spectroscopic techniques include FTIR, NIR and UV-vis. We also conduct a number of physical tests.

Our business areas include the analysis of dry and liquid cargoes including crude oil, mineral oils and petrochemicals, liquid and toxic gases. Our services are not limited to those above and we are happy to discuss your specific needs with you.

Health and Safety is a major aspect of our business and the welfare of all our clients and employees is at the heart of what we do.

As the hub for the ARA region, Inspectorate works hard to ensure results are delivered on time, every time.
