Inspectorate handles all ferro-alloy materials, including bulk and noble alloys, in China, Russia, Europe and the USA.
These commodities come in all forms, shapes and sizes and can be packed in a variety of ways including drums, big bags and containers. They can also be stored in bulk in warehouses.
Apart from warehouse audits to verify condition, quality and quantity of material, our independent inspection services will ensure correct and representative sampling which is key to establishing the value of an entire shipment.
It is important that random sampling techniques are adhered to, thus ensuring homegeneity of the bulk sample prior to sample preparation and accuracy of analysis.
Random number tables can be used to select units for sampling from packed producrts, but when faced with a stockpile, our inspectors’ skill must ensure that random sampling is maintained.
Prior knowledge of the grade of material assists us in determining a sampling plan. Our samplers will visually examine the cargo and if it is observed that the material is heterogeneous, then it may be necessary to draw 2-3 times the recommended sample increment.
