Blending
Inspectorate has years of experience in blending petroleum products to meet clients' specifications thereby adding significant value to their business. Gasoline and fuel oil blending requires specialists with an intimate knowledge of petroleum chemistry, ships' loading systems and terminal tankage, pumps and lines.
A variety of blending components are hand blended in our laboratories in different ratios to determine the quality of the finished blend. When blending is carried out in ships' tanks Inspectorate specialists' knowledge of ship loading systems enables a variety of components to be blended in a controlled and planned manner. This is a highly skilled operation given the fact that most ships tanks are not as accurately calibrated as shore tanks and the tanks themselves are subject to trim and list. When the complexity of ships lines are added to this mix it is evident that only inspectors with specialist blending knowledge can perform such operations.
Today Inspectorate carries out blending operations on behalf of the world's major oil companies and independent traders on a daily basis around the world. Our inspectors are backed up by our global network of state of the art petroleum laboratories operating to international standards and subject to internal and external audits.
