Inspectorate has operated in Spain since 1970 with the Head office in Madrid plus 13 operating offices in the main Spanish ports and a staff of over 100.
Serving following sectors:


Oil and Petrochemicals (crude oil, refined products, petrochemicals products, LPG, LNG, asphalts and lubricating oils)

  • Agriculture Services (Cereals, grains, oil seeds, meal and pellets, feedstuffs, vegetable oils and foods for human consumption)
  • Fertilizers (solid and liquid)
  • Metals and Minerals (all kind of minerals, scraps, metallurgical products, coal and cement)
  • Damage Surveys and Loss Adjusting services for multimodal transport, containers, vehicles, cargoes, commercial vessels, pleasure crafts and industrial risks.
  • Marine Services (On Hire-Off Hire Surveys, Bunkers Surveys, P&I Surveys, Draft surveys, Lashing and stowage inspections, holds/tanks inspections, etc.).
  • Pre-shipment inspections.
  • Calibration of tanks and spheres


They have three Laboratories, Oil and Petrochemicals and Fertilisers in Huelva, Agriculture Services in Sevilla and Coal in Gijon.


Inspectorate Espanola SA holds the following Memberships/Local accreditations: Certified ISO 9001:2000, FOSFA, GAFTA, ASTM, IFIA and Approved by the Spanish Ministery of Energy and the local authorities for the calibration of shore tanks and spheres and the issuance of the corresponding calibration tables.
